These days, it feels like the world is spinning faster.
Ever wondered if, when someone passes, they continue to exist on another plane? And if they do, can we tap into that realm through our dreams?
In one dream, I saw myself as some kind of superhero. I could see through walls—I even spotted my next-door neighbors having dinner, meatloaf with piping hot mashed potatoes. Odd details stuck, like the rising steam from those potatoes. But things took a turn when the woman on the other side sensed me watching.
Suddenly, I was grappling with her in a massive room with high vaulted ceilings. This is when I realized I could fly. She was no joke, soaring higher than me. It felt like a video game, then I discovered I could manipulate objects with my mind. Controlling the situation shifted the game entirely, but how and why?
Physics teaches us that matter isn’t inherently solid—physical barriers are just masses of swiftly moving atoms creating an illusion. Could increasing our vibration levels allow us to defy gravity and move through walls?
If we could consciously navigate dreams, could we gather valuable information to apply in our waking lives?
LUCID, an Afrofuturistic fantasy-action adventure novel, is where questions like these are explored.
